SANTA CLARITA (Jan. 1, 2014) – A second series of free health lectures will be offered January through April on the second Tuesday each month, thanks to a renewed partnership between the non-profit Foundation for Wellness Professionals (FWP) and Barnes & Noble.

“Many folks start the new year wanting to get fit (again),” said Dr. Roger De Sesa, lecturer and a local representative for the FWP. “The difference with my presentation is that I teach individuals how to make life changes. There’s no diet pill, magic shake or surgery. We talk about how to build a better body for life—not just for 2014.”

The schedule for the “Healthy Living with Dr. De Sesa” at Barnes & Noble is as follows. All lectures will take place in the events room at the bookstore, which is located at 23630 Valencia Boulevard in Santa Clarita:

Heart disease ranks as the No. 1 killer in America, according to the Centers for Disease Control. In honor of Valentine’s Day, Dr. De Sesa will share important heart-health tips related to nutrition, a positive attitude, and genetics. Bring a loved one with you!
